Diamond Sharpening Stones
Diamonds are forever, and very practical! They are perfectly suited for knife sharpening as,
1. Diamond stones stay flat much longer than normal sharpening stones, meaning there is less need dished stones to flatten.
2. They are splash and go, which saves time as no soaking is required.
3. They are very fast cutting, for the no-nonsense sharpener who wants to get the job done quick. Also, at high grit (#6000) it leaves a very decent sheen with striations that are not so deep.
4. It is good as a stropping stone or a quick maintenance/touch up stone for a less than 2 minute job if the knife is still thin or is well maintained.
Our green diamond stones are highly recommended to be used for sharpening the ura (back) of single bevel knives, where flatness of the stone is crucial in maintaining the integrity of the concave grind.
