Japanese Konro BBQ Grill
Japanese Konros combined with smokeless charcoal that releases far infrared rays, results in the grill getting real hot for searing between 300 to 500 degrees, quickly sealing in cooked food with all the flavour one can imagine. Wisps of smoke will be produced when the juices drip onto hot charcoal. Therefore balcony or patio/outdoor use is recommended.
Grills made of Diatomaceous Earth (fossilized phytoplanktons) have excellent heat insulation, allowing the outer surface to be merely warm to the touch. Heat is also reflected back upwards toward the food, reducing charcoal consumption, as heat loss by conduction through the grill is reduced.
